Todays journey starts all to sudden (after a bad night) at 7am when I was rudely awoken by the buzz of my phones alarm. I pushed the snooze button not once but twice!!! What could possibly go wrong with having that extra 9 minutes (times by two) in bed???? Well the answer is it can make me drop behind for the whole of the day!! All be it by just a few minutes but those few minutes make such an impact.
By 8am we are running around the house like headless chickens whilst trying to finish off our last minute preparation's preparations' 8.30am on the dot we leave the house to go get our lift up to school to drop my eldest off.
By the time we are home and settled we have a total of 2 hours to relax (or do housework in my case) before we have to go out the house yet again. I have a doctors appointment to review my daily meds that at this minute aren't working in the slightest. Once finished we make the fatal mistake of taking my nephew (1 years old) and my son Jack (2 years old) to a large superstore for food supplies. On the way out my son decided he wanted a ride (or 2) whilst mummy went back to fetch her prescriptions (they conveniently lost them) and so after 2 rides was told there were no more and that he should get in the car in his big boys carseat.
"NO WAY!" he screamed whilst fighting my dad. In temper he went to bite my dad! What do you do??? In the end he screamed on the top of his lungs for the whole of the 6 miles before falling to sleep minutes from home and picking his sister up from school.
At 3.30 I picked Jess up and went in for her meeting about her residential trip to Whirlow Farm. Very interesting but also very scary at the same time bearing in mind this is my baby!!! My darling girl is only 7 (a very mature 7 at times and babyish at others) and though I know this will do her good and she will be able to try new things I am worried whether she is going to be ok (like any natural mother would). What if she doesn't like it? What if she misses me and her brother? I have many what ifs and questions but at least she has a damn good partner with whom she will share a lot of her time with.
When we return home its a quick sandwich and get myself and Jessica ready for the Brownies! I LOVE the Brownies.
As a new leader and book keeper (very scary but exciting) I had to be a little early but tonight for some reason I am not! On we go.......

CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
Tonights Brownie meeting was all about the Chinese new year which changes on the 31st to year of the Horse (so I am told!)
Table 1 was: What year and zodiac animal are you?
Each girl has to put down which animal and what year they were born. Most of our pack are Roosters and I believe its quite apt as they can be very noisy at times (especially tonight!)

Table 2 was: Find the 5 animals in the word search. The girls whizzed through this :)
Table 3 was: Find the letters and symbol and put them together.
Table 4 was: Answer the sums to find out the colour and colour in the lantern.
Then it was tasting time vegetable spring rolls, prawn crackers and then a fortune cookie!
The girls loved reading their fortunes.
Mine said and I quote "Your talents will be recognised and suitably rewarded!" Mmmm what coud that mean???
Nearly time to go home so its Ladders and then Brownie Bells :)
When we get home its get ready for bed followed by a very small amount of relax time!
Next week at Brownies its St Patrick day I think its called so its Irish stuff all night. Bring it on!!!
